Research in Hajj 1430 Hijra (2009 G)

FETP has conducted following studies during Hajj of 1430 Hijra. The study topics included

*Factors affecting primary health care services (PHCS) utilization by hajjis 1430H.

*The role of Hamla management in the prevention and control of food poisoning episodes in Mina, during Hajj 1430 H (2009G).

*Satisfaction of Arab patients about services provided by primary health care centres in Makkah & Mina during hajj season 1430H.

*Aziz International Airport regarding preventive measures of Communicable Diseases for Pilgrims, 1430H.(2009).

Malaria vaccine between hopes and difficulties
Malaria is a major worldwide health problem affect 33% of world population live in endemic malaria countries, there is 500 millions new cases happen each year among them there is 1-3 millions child die each years. Increasing drugs resistant of Malaria parasites and increasing the resistances of mosquitoes to insecticide are other factors that make malaria vaccine a big priority.
Afghanistan first in world to use new polio vaccine
15 December -- Using a new vaccine for the first time, a sub-national polio immunization campaign will take place from 15-17 December in Afghanistan. About 2.8 million children under five in the Southern, South-Eastern and Eastern Regions of Afghanistan will receive the vaccine.
