• Planning and supervision of training requirements of registered postgraduate candidates for field epidemiology master degree.
• Coordination with King Saud University for academic issues related to post graduate candidates.
• Coordination with teaching staff from king Saud University, internal and external trainers sharing in teaching the master degree of FETP.
• Promotion and upgrading of Master of FETP.
• Supervising research performed by post graduate candidate registered for the master degree of FETP
• Conducting any tasks required by the Supervisor General of the FETP Program.

Research subunit

• Supervision of weekly round table meeting for post graduate candidates.
• Planning and implementation of short term training courses in epidemiology and other health related issues for healthcare workers.
• Supervise research conducted by post graduate candidates for FETP master.
• Offering technical support for Ministry of Health
• Cooperating with other agencies for conducting research in health related issues.
• Sharing in research during Hajj season.
• Conducting any tasks required by the Supervisor General of the FETP Program.

Saudi epidemiological bulletin (SEB) subunit

• Editing and publishing Saudi Epidemiological Bulletin.
• Upgrading of Saudi Epidemiological Bulletin to a peer reviewed scientific journal.
• Publication of research conducted by FETP in international peer reviewed journals.
• Conducting any tasks required by the Supervisor General of the FETP Program.

Printed materials subunit

• Preparation and printing for annual report of FETP.
• Printing of any other publications related to FETP.

Continuous Medical Education unit

• Planning and implementing short term epidemiologic tainting courses in issues realted to epidemiology and other health related to issues for health care workers.
• Coordination of scientific lecturers and presentations,
• Cooperation with Saudi agency for health specialties for accreditation of designed training programs.
• Evaluation of training needs health care workers in epidemiology.
• Developing and upgrading of new training courses in epidemiology.
• Coordination with the training department in the ministry of health in relation to training courses for health care workers at different regions.
• Conducting any tasks required by the Supervisor General of the FETP Program.
Head:

Surveillance unit

• Coordination and supervision of surveillance assignments for post graduate students.
• Sharing in efforts for establishing electronic surveillance system.
• Preparation of regular surveillance reports.
• Field visits for regions for outbreak investigations.
• Coordination with national H1N1 surveillance program.
• Conducting any tasks required by the Supervisor General of the FETP Program.

Library and information technology unit

• Developing and upgrading a comprehensive information system for the library.
• Providing the library with books, journals and other teaching and educational aids.
• Upgrading of computer lab and software.
• Upgrading of FETP website in the internet.
• Sharing and supervising of data entry.
• Conducting any tasks required by the Supervisor General of the FETP Program.
